Your private staircase winds to the third floor of the original Van Horn residence, where the spacious loft has been lovingly transformed into a carefully crafted world of luxury and creature comforts to ensure that your stay there will be well remembered. Wedgewood Blue walls with complementary blues and white décor provide the tranquil foundation embodied in the natural wood burning fireplace and massive, circular Jacuzzi. The fireplace centers your personal library of books housed in matching bookcases to either side, while the Jacuzzi is masterfully tucked into a private, mirrored enclave that virtually spells the word "romantic." Paired armchairs invite you to a quiet drink in front of the fire, or watch the fire winking at you merrily as you relax on King size Sleigh bed. Your private entrance way introduces you to the uniqueness of this eclectic space, as first glance affords a view of Persian rugs over hardwood, with a backdrop of a wall mounted bearskin, deer antlers and sled. Barn board wainscoting wonderfully accents chintz fabric walls in terracotta and pale cream. Barn board book cases could well house volumes from the old west, and accoutrements such as snowshoes and early New Hampshire horse prints continue the enchanting blend of the primitive and the cozy. Matching wicker arm chairs embrace a charming brick fireplace with raised hearth; the perfect resting spot before heading to the king bed with cream and terra cotta plaid canopy.

The Sandwich suite is named for the beautiful New England town to our east, Center Sandwich, where the crafts movement that became the League of NH Craftsmen began in the 1930's. The town has always attracted exceptionally talented craftspeople, and we're proud to feature the work of a number of them in this suite.
The suite is generous in size, replete with all the luxuries to pamper the most discriminating traveler. There are those who say the airbath, that envelops you in a gentle massage, and the steam bath are reason enough to choose this elegant suite...but it offers so much more.
