Preheat oven to 475o.
Melt butter in the oven in a 4-inch diameter skillet, ramekin or baking dish.
While the butter is melting, whisk the egg until light. Gradually add milk
and flour and beat until smooth. Pour into warm baking dish. Cook about 12 minutes,
or until puffed and golden. Makes one pancake.
Serve at once with your choice of toppings (nuts, almonds, apples or any fruit,
powdered sugar, etc.).
