Dining Information

MEALTIMES ARE SPECIAL...

Breakfast…at the White Gull Inn means waking up to the aroma of fresh ground coffee and fresh baked coffeecake from our kitchen. Late sleepers will appreciate that the Eggs Benedict, White Gull granola, hash browns and the buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup are served until noon.

Lunches…include hearty homemade soups, inventive salads and sandwiches, omelets and a selection of tempting desserts from our bakery.

Candlelight Dinners…quiet and elegant, are served Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings May through October and Saturday through Thursday nights November through April. Featured are hearty regional favorites and innovative seasonal dishes that feature the fresh locally caught fish, Wisconsin beef and duckling, and Door County fruit and other produce. Some recipes have been handed down generation to generation, while others showcase the talents of Chef John Vreeke and his staff. And while our menu of homemade desserts changes seasonally, it often features the apples and cherries for which Door County is famous. No wonder the inn’s restaurant has been regularly featured in national and regional publications and on television channels like the Food Channel.

Traditional Door County Fish Boils…are served Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from May through October and on Friday evenings the rest of the year. Picture yourselves on our patio in the cool evening air, standing around a blazing wood fire. As you watch the freshly caught Lake Michigan whitefish being cooked before your eyes, the Master Boiler is explaining the history, the recipe and the dramatic flare-up or "overboil" at the end. Inside, when you’ve sampled the fish, served with melted butter, red potatoes, coleslaw, fresh baked breads and cherry pie a la mode for dessert, you'll understand why the White Gull fish boil has become a famous Door County tradition.

Fish Boils are served Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in summer and fall with seatings at 5:45, 7 and 8:15 PM and on Friday nights at 7 PM in winter. Adults: $17.50.. Children: $10.95 (prices include dessert.)
