Art Gallery

Since 1975 Robert Amos has been painting Victoria. He has depicted homes and gardens, shops and the fascinating urban landscapes of Old Town Victoria in literally hundreds of whimsical watercolours and vibrant acrylic paintings. In recognition of his contributions, Amos was made an Honorary Citizen of the City of Victoria (1985) and was elected to membership in the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts (1996). His paintings are included in the civic collection of Victoria and in the Maltwood Museum of the University of Victoria. Amos is also the art writer for the Victoria Times-Colonist newspaper.

Located near the Cook Street Village, next to Beacon Hill Park, the Amos studio and gallery welcomes visitors. In addition to the definitive collection of this artist's paintings you'll also see original oils by his wife, Sarah Amos. In the fascinating ambience of a working studio you'll find an extensive selection of prints, cards and books available.

Commissioned work is a specialty.

Open by appointment. The gallery does not keep regular hours but is almost always open. Just call 250-389-0303.
