Winemaker Dinner
On Saturday, September 14 the wines of B R Cohn from the Valley of the Moon will be paired with another of Chef Devon Morgante’s culinary feasts to create yet another memorable evening of wine, food, and new friends at The Inn. Bill Parker and his wife Susan will host the dinner on behalf of BR Cohn. This dinner and the 19th of October dinner with the Dry Creek Vineyard will end this year’s Winemaker Dinners. We have set the dates for next year’s six winemaker dinners and will soon be talking with the winemakers of Russian River wineries about participating in these special dinners.

Massage at The Inn
The Inn’s new spa program is delighting many of our guests; there is nothing more relaxing at the end of a day touring the wineries than to come back to the privacy of your room for a soothing massage. While we are often able to schedule these moments of pleasure on short notice, it’s much better to let us know when you are making your reservation that you would like to experience this new amenity at The Inn.

New Folk Art
There are two new pieces of wine country folk art that Jack has placed on The Inn’s veranda. One is a small grape press that even has the ruby red of grape juice on its feet; and the second is a French bottle drying rack. In its colors of red and warm yellow, this circular rack with its spikes held wine bottles after they had been washed and allowed them to dry.

Select Registry Winners of the Vacation of a Lifetime
Lee and Joyce Wilson were the lucky, very lucky, winners of a year long contest sponsored by Select Registry. They can now travel over the next ten years and spend a night at any or all of the inns owned by Select Registry members. Imagine all those comfortable beds, great breakfasts, good company and memories to be made. The picture below shows Lee and Joyce on the steps of The Inn with some of our staff after one of those great breakfasts. Congratulations to them and to each of you who may be staying at one of the Select registry inns when they visit – you’re in for a real treat with these two ambassadors of the world of inns.
