- Hiking: Pisgah Forest- A National Forest with some great day hikes. We can direct you to the Information Center.
Carl Sandburg Home (Connemara) - Over 200 acres connected to this National Historic Site. Short hikes to perfectly beautiful vistas of the area.FENCE - Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center. Located in nearby Tryon, this Center has nice trails and sometimes guided nature walks.
Caesar's Head State Park - Located about 40 minutes away in South Carolina are some wonderful trails and bike paths. - Horseback Riding: There is horseback riding in the Pisgah Forest. Inquire as to times at the Ranger Station.
