| Room #1 is a large, corner room on the first floor of the Main Building with windows facing South and West. It has Renaissance Victorian furnishings with a headboard and matching marble top dresser some 8' tall. The bed is very unusual; it is a specially built, original, queen sized bed dating from 1855. This room has a working fireplace and bath with clawfoot tub and shower. Through a French door in the room you directly enter a 16' X 16' screened porch with 300 gallon hot tub for that couples' use only. The porch is completely private; the occupants of the hot tub cannot be viewed from the outside. Water is changed for every new guest. At 300 gallons, the hot tub is ten times the size of a conventional bathtub. The bright, airy screened porch has furnishing for lounging and an apartment sized refrigerator. The hot tub is a year 'round feature. |
