Built in 1915 as the Crise family home, the White Oak Inn will remind you of a New England style farmhouse. The Crise family built their home out of red and white oak timbers milled on the property.
Today the home itself, along with the former chicken barn and two newly constructed log cabin cottages make up the White Oak Inn.
Set on its own 14 wooded acres and surrounded by farms and conservation area, the inn is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The inn's porches and common areas invite you to sit and relax, to enjoy a book or magazine from the extensive collection, or simply watch the hummingbirds and butterflies.
Mealtimes at the inn offer generous portions. Innkeeper/chef Yvonne takes advantage of local produce and herbs from the inn's garden to create delicious breakfasts and dinners.
Throughout the year special events and packages are offered at the inn. New for 2004 we have a Ladies Mind and Body Refresher weekend, as well as a Chocolate and Coffee tasting weekend.
The latest additions to the inn, the two luxury log-cabin cottages offer a perfect getaway for a honeymoon or anniversary. With 600 square feet of space, a separate bedroom with king size bed, living room with fireplace and entertainment center, snack center, two-person whirlpool tub, and private deck, these are sure to please.
