| Our newly constructed Chestnut Lodge, designed to compliment the original, historic Main Lodge building, opened on April 7th. Six premium rooms have been created with the idea of combining the splendor and serenity of the mountains with the amenities and comforts essential to relaxing accommodations. All rooms include central heat and air, king-sized beds with lovely hand-sewn quilts, fireside sitting areas with comfortable seating or loveseats, CD player, minibars with refrigerators and ice makers, cathedral ceilings, spacious bathrooms with whirlpool tubs and steam showers, and most important, mountain views from every window in the room. Each room has a private porch and covered deck with mountain views. Room Descriptions | | | | | In your room you'll find both modern convenience and traditional comfort. Each room is paneled in a different hardwood…the charming beds, chests, tables, nightstands and luggage racks, also crafted of native wood by local craftsmen, have been in the lodge since its opening. You'll enjoy the ceiling fan and coffeemaker we've included in your room… you won't miss the telephone or television we've excluded.
