- Snowmobiling:
The Lodge at Moosehead Lake, is one of the area's most accommodating lodges,
and its staff welcomes Snowmobilers taking a Moosehead vacation. "The
Lodge" is one of few area inns offering snowmobilers direct access to the
trails form the lodge's front door. The Greenville area has numerous
restaurants offering a wide range of dining opportunities, from fast food to
family style or fine dining, and the area's riding opportunities are
endless.
From "The Lodge", it is a 164
Mile round trip around the lake on the
Moosehead Trail. There are food and fuel
stops along the way, and this route is
marked with its own distinct trail signs
featuring a moose head. Throughout the
area snowmobiler's will travel on well-
groomed and well-marked trails that
connect with Maine's ITS. Or they can
ride on logging roads and forge their own
paths through fresh snow.
Why make us your choice for winter fun?
No other lodging facility in the Region offers a fireplace and Jacuzzi in
each guest room. The main lodge has 2 magnificent fireplaces and a game
room with a 52" color TV, pool table and English darts. Fine dining is made
available for guests only, at the Inn's Lakeview dining room. (See web site
for details)
We work closely with several outfitters who provide us snowmobiles for our
rental needs, and can arrange for the snowmobiles to be delivered to the
lodge. We only work with reputable business's that deal in only new or late
model sleds, insuring optimum reliability. They also have snowmobile
apparel available for rent.
Our convenient location with direct trail access to Moosehead lake, club
trails or ITS 85, gives you several trail riding options. The staff at "The
Lodge" have years of snowmobile experience throughout the region and can
show you the best areas to ride while you are here at Moosehead Lake.
Upon your return of a day of snowmobiling you enter the lodge through our
mud room entrance to stow your equipment and gear. This keeps you room and
the lodge free of clutter and exhaust odors.
