About This Property
In the architectural style of the historic Appalachian cantilever barn, the inn faces scenic views of Laurel Valley and towering Rich Mountain. This elegant mountain inn is furnished with 18th century English antiques and French paintings, and presents the best in room amenities. Country Inn Magazine featured Richmont Inn as a "sweet rendezvous" and selected it as one of their "Top Inns". Gourmet Magazine awarded the Grand Prize for one of their desserts. Air conditioned guestrooms have private baths, fireplaces, private spa tubs for two, king beds, and balconies with majestic views. (A room on the first floor offers wheelchair access.) Room amenities also include piped in music, hair dryers, coffee makers, and lounging robes, provided in a smoke free environment. Special attention has been given to comfortable bedding. A full breakfast and evening candlelight dessert are served in the panoramic dining area where you can watch the morning mist rising from the valley floor and moonfilled mountain nights. Freshly brewed coffee and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the privacy of your balcony or room. Gourmet packed picnics that match the season are available for a backpacking hike or a luxurious spread by a mountain stream. The inn is conveniently located, just minutes from the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which offers hiking, fishing, bicycling, scenic drives, and historic Cades Cove. Art galleries and craft shops are nearby. Local restaurants provide a wide variety of dining experiences, and the best outlet shopping in the nation is just thirty minutes away. Golf privileges are extended to our guests at the Laurel Valley Country Club.
