About This Property

Tradition

Since 1980, we’ve been the proprietors at the Old Fort Inn. We follow a proud and distinguished group of people who have owned this property over the past 100 plus years. Today, we continue the tradition of offering guests preferred accommodations, amenities and service.

Annually, we welcome returning guests again and again. For some, the Inn affords a quiet oasis in which to restore their hurried lives. For others, it is a base from which to explore more of Maine.

No matter the reason for visiting the Inn, all our guests leave refreshed and re-energized after enjoying the Inn's comforting surroundings.

Elegance

The Old Fort Inn, located just one block from the Atlantic Ocean, is nestled amidst 15 acres of immaculately maintained grounds and woodlands. With its own private tennis court and heated pool, you are surrounded with pleasures to please your every need.

A daily scrumptious buffet breakfast is served in the relaxing comfort of our lodge room, and tempting refreshments are served in the afternoon for your enjoyment.

Choose spacious accommodations from any of our sixteen exquisite antique appointed guest rooms.

All rooms and suites feature private baths, phones, A/C, cable TV and enclosed deluxe wet bars. Some rooms offer gas fireplaces, heated tile bathroom floors and Jacuzzi baths. All rooms and suites feature welcoming king or queen size beds and comfortable sitting areas. The English appointed apartment size suites with canopied beds provide an elegant atmosphere of style and comfort.

Inviting

Our guest rooms, rich in nostalgic ambience, are located in a turn-of-the-century carriage house of red brick and local stone. With a meticulous eye for detail, guest rooms are tastefully decorated with wonderful wall coverings and fine fabrics. Rooms are furnished with beautiful antiques and include four-poster and canopy beds with down comforters.

The hallway has a wonderful collection of antique fashion prints and antique clothing enclosed in shadow boxes.

The Inn is within a 5-minute ride to two 18-hole golf courses and just 1-1/4 miles from the village center (Dock Square).
