With the breath taking gardens and surroundings we have become a favorite of brides and photographers. Here are some guidelines that will assist you in planning your perfect Wedding & Reception here at Monmouth.
Table Linens ~ Monmouth offers white linens for your event.
Floral Arrangements ~ Monmouth has a resident florist. We have floral arrangements for the food tables or any other areas you wish, in the range of $50, $75 and $100.
* Because of the Garden setting, outside flowers are unnecessary unless you wish to add to the natural setting.
Guest Guarantees & Minimums ~ We have a $1000 food purchase minimum for receptions at Monmouth. We will need your pre-selected menus prior to the signing of the contract. We require that you guarantee the number of guests attending your function at least 7 working days prior to your event. The number you guarantee is the number of guests you will be charged for (food, tax & gratuity) even if fewer guests attend.
Taxes & Gratuities ~ Mississippi Sales tax is 8.5% and gratuity for events at Monmouth is 17%.
Reservations & Deposits ~ To reserve your date, a non-refundable deposit of $500 must be paid upon the signing of the contract. 30 days prior to the event you will need to provide a credit card number & expiration date for our record.
Services not provided by Monmouth ~ Monmouth does not provide Photographers, Ministers, Musicians or Wedding Cakes. Although these are services Monmouth does not provide, we do have a list of recommendations upon request.
Rental & Reception Fees ~ a tent is required if there are more than 60 guests.
Garden ~ no fee if the reception is at Monmouth $350 for Garden Wedding with no Reception Reception Room ~ $350 Tent Rental ~350 White Chairs for Garden ~ $4 per chair Other Important Notes ~ Wedding Receptions must end by 9:30 p.m. When the Wedding Couple departs potpourri or rose petals may be thrown. Birdseed or Rice are not allowed. Food & Beverage services will cease upon the Wedding couples departure. Wedding party & guests are not allowed in the Main house or on the Main house patio. This area is reserved for our Dinner Guests.
Smoking Policy ~ Monmouth Plantation buildings are all designated non-smoking facilities. However, ashtrays are provided for our guests on the patio and terrace areas.
