Experience The History Of A Bygone Era
The Normandy Inn is the only bed and breakfast in Spring Lake, NJ designated by the U.S. Department of the Interior as being on the prestigious National Register of Historical Places.
Built as a private residence in 1888, the Italianate Villa with Queen Anne modifications offers an entry to a past era. Distinctive interiors highlighted by Colonial Revival & Neoclassicism accent the elegance of the inn's Victorian origin. Tickle the ivories of an 1886 Chickering Parlor Grand piano.
The Normandy's prized possessions surround you... an antique trumpet legged grand piano, a Rococo damask parlour set and authentic marble sculptures accent the common area.
Formerly known as the Audenreid House, the original structure was moved to its present location in the early 1900's and became known as one of the Johnson cottages.
The Normandy has had a distinguished history of innkeeping dating back to Mrs. Avery Johnson and a proud heritage of serving guests for almost 90 years.
Experience The Tranquility Of A Simpler Time
Visiting the Normandy Inn is also visiting tranquil and relaxing Spring Lake. If you travel by train or bus, let us welcome you at the station. Tree lined streets, turn of the century estates, quaint shoppes & boutiques and a diversity of restaurants make Spring Lake a uniquely picturesque ocean front village ... one you will always remember.
While some find swimming in our Atlantic waters invigorating, others find their relaxation sunbathing on our secluded white sands. For quieter moments, stroll along one of the village's lake-front scenic footbridges. Golf, tennis, horseback riding, surf or deep-sea fishing and thoroughbred racing are close by.
Whether you are seeking a unique spot for your next corporate retreat or a charming room for a business traveler, the Normandy Inn and Spring Lake will provide the perfect setting for a memorable visit not soon forgotten.
