About This Property

Our Main House is a stately two-story Victorian built in 1879. A wraparound veranda graces the exterior and within lies our formal parlor with a grand fireplace and five guest rooms. Our saltbox Cypress cottage, once a chicken coop was completely remodeled in the mid 1980's. Inside are two guest rooms with elegant cathedral ceilings and fireplaces upon raised brick hearths. Additionally we offer three rooms in our Historic Water Tower -- a three-story replica with an outside flight of stairs climbing the side and a widows-walk around the top We are proud to announce the completion of a renovation project at the historic Joshua Grindle Inn. The renovation consisted of a complete "floor-up" remodel of each private bathroom in our Main House. A total of five bathrooms, one in each guest room, have received a complete make-over including one whirlpool tub, two deep-soak tubs, and two new showers, all composed of granite stone. Each has also received new quality vanities, commodes and decor. In addition to the bathroom remodels, we are continuing to update the interior design in each room, so as to retain the high standards of which our guests expect. This is one step of many to maintain our position as the finest and most desirable inn on the Mendocino Coast.
