Recreation News (October 2006):
We arrived at Jordan Hollow in time to be greeted by a room with the lights on, a cozy fire burning in the fireplace, homemade cookies, and a deep sense of the homey welcome so characteristic of southern hospitality. Seldom have we stayed at an Inn where the room breathed instant relaxation the moment we stepped inside.
Food Nation with Bobby Flay, The Food Network Channel (January 2006):
The Jordan Hollow Farm Inn offers some of the finest farm fare Virginia has to offer.
CondeNast Traveler (September 1988):
The real reason for coming here though, is to be outdoors. ... Dinner at the Farm is superb.
Bon Appetit (November 1992):
The dining rooms are in the old farmhouse, which began as a warren of log cabins around 1790, evolved into a house with four rooms added in 1882, and later acquired a picturesque white porch. ... The menu is short, honest in its ambitions and most respectful of ingredients.
Washingtonian (September 2005):
As if the surrounding mountains aren’t scenic enough, at Jordan Hollow Farm, the meadows are dotted with horses ... The best views of the Blue Ridge are from the upper suites in the vine covered lodge called Arbor View. ... Five miles of hiking trails beckon on the property.
TripAdvisor.com:
The Farmhouse Restaurant: Located at Jordan Hollow Inn, this has been THE gourmet place to eat in the Valley forever. Constantly changing menus, special Thursday International night and housed in a 200 yr. old Farmhouse, it is upscale, yet casual.
Country (Aug/Sept 1989):
The best way to appreciate the scenic vista of Jordan Hollow ... is from horseback. The moment my gentle mount topped the first ridge of one of the many riding trails, I knew the view from there captured the essence of the place!
Blue Ridge Country (August 2004):
Flower gardens paint a colorful greeting all around the Inn and hiking trails abound. The accommodations are lovely, but a visit would not be complete without dining at the Farmhouse Restaurant. It’s a superb dining experience.
