Select Registry's
Inn-Credible Breakfast Cook-Off
This
year, Select Registry sponsored its first-ever "Inn-Credible
Breakfast Cook-Off" - A national culinary competition,
designed to recognize the best "Inn" breakfast in North
America. The competition was created as a marketing
and media outreach tool and to celebrate and recognize
the best culinary talent and creativity of our members,
whowhether they are full-service or bed and breakfast,
large or small, urban or countryshare "inn-credible"
hospitality and wonderful breakfast offerings for their
guests.
More than 100 breakfast recipes were submitted by innkeepers
from throughout the Select Registry membership, and
five finalists were chosen to compete at the Select
Registry Annual Meeting, on May 7, 2007. The finalist
teams, which consisted of the innkeeper and/or chef
from the member properties, competed for the Gold, Silver
and Bronze medals.
Though each recipe was unique and original, the one
ingredient in common was Eggland's Best eggs.
"We are thrilled to be part of Select Registry's 'Inn-Credible
Breakfast Cook-Off,' said Charles T. Lanktree, president
and CEO of Eggland's Best, Inc. "The great taste and
superb nutritional attributes of our eggs truly make
a difference in breakfast recipes and for any occasion
that calls for eggs."
Competition entries were judged and chosen by an esteemed
judges panel with superlative culinary backgrounds on
the following criteria: Flavors, taste, creativity and
presentation.

"Side Dish" Announced
Select Registry: Distinguished Inns of North America
has announced the winners of the side dish category
("Select Recognition") of it's first-ever culinary competition,
"The Inn-Credible Breakfast Cook-Off," designed
to recognize the best "Inn" breakfast in America. The
following are among the short list of winners out of
dozens of entries for the "Select Recognition" category
in this competition.
The Select Recognition category was designed to recognize
the best original recipes for a side dish or beverage,
such as baked goods, fruit dishes or smoothies.
