Pecan and Brown Sugar Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Combine 1 cup flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar.
Add cut up butter and mix with food processor until crumbly.
Press into bottom of a 9-inch square pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Beat eggs with mixer for 2 minutes or until thick and pale.
Stir in remaining sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, salt, then add pecans, coconut and vanilla and mix well.
Spoon into pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350.
Cut into bars.
Allow to cool, then top with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with homemade chocolate sauce.
