Grand Marnier Chocolate Cobbler

An easy, elegant dessert recipe. Grand Marnier in both the chocolate and the batter gives this cobbler a special flavor. Watch video for full instruction:

  • 4 oz butter
  • 6 oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbls sugar
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier (for chocolate base)
  • 3 Tbls butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbls cocoa
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 2 Tbls Grand Marnier (for cobbler batter)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

For Chocolate Base:
Melt butter and add chocolate. Stir until melted. Remove from heat.

In a separate bowl, mix eggs, sugar, and Grand Marnier. Stir in chocolate mixture.

Pour into 6 greased ramekins and chill. Yields 6 servings

For Cobbler Batter:
Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder. Stir in milk, Grand Marnier, and butter.
Stir in boiling water and mix until incorporated. Pour batter over the chocolate mixture in each of the ramekins.

Bake at 325°F until a knife or tester probe comes out clean when inserted in the middle.

Serve in ramekin or turn upside-down on a plate. Serve with chocolate sauce, ice cream, and fresh raspberries.
