Cranberry Nut Bread
A delightful nutty bread with sweet cranberries. Perfect with afternoon tea on the holidays.

Ingredients
- 1½ Cups cranberries (coarsely chopped)
- 2 Cups flour
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 Tbl shortening
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp salt
- ½ Tsp baking soda
- ¾ Cups orange juice
- 1 Tbl orange zest
- ½ Cup finely chopped walnuts
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Coarsely chop cranberries in a processor. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour batter into a 9x5 inch greased loaf pan.
Bake for 55 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
