Experience a leisurely cruise while listening to the history of the Moosehead Lake region. Built in 1914 by Bath Iron Works in Maine, the Katahdin has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Originally steam-powered and used to tow booms of logs, she was converted to diesel in 1922.
The Lodge offers guests an exclusive Cruise Package for the 3 hour cruises leaving at 12:30 P.M., Tuesday through Saturday. Sign up online along with your room reservation or up to 24 hours in advance of disembarking. A bottle of wine, artisan bread, fruit, cheeses and 2 cruise tickets will be waiting for you in a special “take home” tote bag.
The cruise schedule runs from the end of June to the first of October. The Katahdin offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Enjoy the Moosehead Marine Museum before or after the cruise. Upgrade to the 4.5 hour Mt. Kineo cruise is available on scheduled dates.
